Fidel Castro ( 1926 – )

Born on August 13, 1926. He gain his education from Jesuit Boarding School, he was intellectually gifted. In 1947, Castro became concerned about social issues that face the improvised Cuba. He joined in many military coups against foreigh governments. Gaining power and support, he mounted a revolution up against General Fulgenico Bastista in 1958.  At the age of 32, in Febuary he was sorn in as prime minister of Cuba. Under new power he implemented reform to nationlize big buisnesses, which brought tension between Cuba and America. Fidel need money, so he turned to the Soviet Union for finanical help and aid with orgainzing a Defense Committee. He kept on accepting futher aid from the communist country. Soviet Union convience him to accept a nuclear missile. This created the Cuban Missile Crisis, during the negotiations he was left out by the two superpowers.In 1966, Castro founded the Asia-Africa-Latin America People's Solidarity Organization to promote revolution on three continents. Over time his finanical aid fell with the Soviet Union in 1991. He has been able to keep control of the government even with the failing govenment. On February 19, 2008, 81-year-old Fidel Castro permanently gave up the Cuban presidency due to his deteriorating physical condition.

John F. Kennedy ( 1917 – 1963 )

Born into a wealthy family with Irish desent, in Brookline, Massachucetts on May 29, 1917. He was an excellent student an graduate from Harvard in 1940. At 24 he joined the Navy. Asuming a leadership role, Commander of a PT boat. During his time as a Commander he saved a fellow shipmate, when the boad was sunk by a Japanese destroyer. He recieved the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps Medal for  his heroism.  After the war he became a democratic Congressmen for the area of Boston, then he advance to Senator in 1953.  On September 12, 1953 he married Jacqueline Bouvier. He was elected president in 1961, being the youngest president to be elected. His vision of America extended to the quality of the national culture and equal rights. His first brush with foreign policy was the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was able to defuse the situation with open communication. Sadly he was assinated in Dallas, Texas on Friday, November 22, 1963.

Nikita Krushchev( 1894 – 1971 )

Khrushchev was born in the Russian village of Kalinovka in April 15, 1894; which is close to present day Ukraine. He also took a job taking care of cattle and continued until he was in his early teens. At the age of fifteen he became an apprentice mechanic. In 1918, at the age of twenty-four he joined the Communist Party. As a Communist, he enrolled in the Red Army to fight in the civil war then in progress. At the time, the Russian Revolution was storming the country. He became a political leader at school and was named the secretary of the school's Communist Party Committee. He graduated in 1925. Soon after he became a full-time party official as secretary of the Petrovsko-Mariinsk district of Yuzovka. Nikita did marry in 1915, sadly she passed away during the famine. During the early 1960's he became a powerful leader during the Cold War. While in October of 1964 his power was taken away by the other political leaders. He lived a happy life after his leadership and passed away in September 11, 1971.
